Description:

PHE reagent is reagent used for generation of colour in test PHE in diagnostic kits. Detailed description of work with reagent PHE and interpretation of result of test is part of particular kit manual.

Substrate L-phenylalanine is oxidatively deaminated with help of aminooxidase and flavoprotein to phenyl pyruvic acid. PHE reagent acts as chelating agent in reaction mixture causing formation of green colour.
